What's Next for A Newman Adventure? (Plus, a Future Freebie!)

Last week, I hoped 20 people might read my blog — we came close with 18! That might not sound like much, but for me, it means 18 readers are following this journey, and I’m grateful for every single one of you.

So today, I want to share what’s coming next for the Newman Adventure series… including a brand-new story you’ll be able to get for free.

🔎 Book 2: A Treasure Hunt Begins...

One of my brilliant ARC readers just received the draft of Book 2 printed out, in a folder, ready for her colour-coded Post-it notes. I haven’t locked in a release date just yet (Book 1 has only been out a few weeks!), but on my socials I did share a teaser — just one word: Treasure.

Book 2 sees Cedric and Hans on their next thrilling journey this time, it’s a proper treasure hunt. The dynamic between the team (which now includes Hans’s sister, Daniela) evolves beautifully in this one… and they’re not alone. A ruthless rival is after the same prize, and he’ll stop at nothing.

Who will find the treasure first? And what will they sacrifice to claim it?

🧭 Looking Ahead: Books 3 & 4 Are on the Horizon

Before An Irish Mystery was even finished, I had already been deep into Book 4! It’s currently paused while I focus on releasing Book 2 and polishing Book 3 — but the long-term arc is very much alive.

No spoilers for now… but trust me, there's a lot more to come.

🎁 Coming Soon: A Free Prequel Novella

Now that Book 1 is out, I’ve been thinking a lot about what to offer new readers as a “reader magnet.”

So, I’m working on something brand new: a prequel novella. It’s a backstory featuring Cedric and Hans, diving into moments that shaped who they are in An Irish Mystery. The plan is for this novella (approx. 40,000 words maybe less?) to be free for subscribers to my newsletter.
